3A Composites: Perspex acrylic for hygienic protection walls
3A Composites produces sophisticated composite materials, such as foam boards, plastic sheets, aluminum composite panels, and more. The company’s PERSPEX® clear acrylic is playing a critical role in the manufacture of hygienic protection walls in the UK and Europe. 3A Composites has increased production by 300% to meet demand for this critical material, and hygienic protection walls produced from PERSPEX® have been installed in numerous businesses already.
3A Composites has taken an agile approach to the COVID-19 crisis. The company has repurposed production lines which were formerly used to produce bathroom products to increase production of clear acrylic. They’ve also adjusted their manufacturing shifts to increase production capacity.

Nordson EFD: Ventilator production equipment & COVID-19 test components
Nordson EFD, a division of Nordson Corporation, is the world’s leading manufacturer of fluid dispensing systems. Nordson EFD is producing automated dispensing systems which enable mass-production of a critical sub-assembly in Ventec Life Systems ventilators. Ventec is a leader in ventilator technology and has contributed critical equipment to help treat patients suffering from COVID-19.
Nordson EFD is also contributing to COVID-19 relief by applying medical reagents to diagnostic test strips, and bonding the housing of test cards which are used to diagnose a patient with COVID-19.

Parker LORD: Chemlok adhesive for seals in masks & respirators
Parker LORD, a world leader in adhesives, coatings, and sensing systems, is contributing to COVID-19 relief through increased production of its Chemlok line of adhesives. These sophisticated products create the essential seals in masks and respirators which allow the devices to function properly.
In masks, these seals ensure that healthcare workers are protected from the virus. In ventilators and respirators, these seals ensure that the device remains pressurized and uncontaminated, delivering pure air to patients’ lungs at the right pressure.
